In a large bowl, combine ground beef with eggs, onion, green pepper, salt, pepper, ketchup, steak sauce and Worcestershire sauce. With both hands, knead the meat mixture until everything is thoroughly blended together. With the saltine crackers still in their sleeve, pound crackers until they are finely crumbled. Pour over the meat mixture and mix in. Form meatloaf into a large oval or divide into 6 small ovals. Place meatloaf in a large roasting pan. Place the ends of bread at each end of the meatloaf. (This is to help absorb some of the grease/fat from the meatloaf.) Surround meat with peeled whole potatoes and carrots. Add 1 cup of water to the pan. Pour ketchup over meat and vegetables as desired. Sprinkle with salt and pepper as desired. Cover baking pan and bake for 90 minutes in a 375 degree oven. If you form small loaves, reduce baking time to 60 minutes. Remove bread slices from meat and discard before serving.
