Place oven rack in 2nd position from top and set oven to Broil. Line the rack of a broiler pan with aluminum foil.

Combine oil, chili sauce, garlic and sugar in a small bowl. Mix well.
|
|
|
Rub chili mixture over all surfaces of each salmon fillet. Place fillets on broiler pan and place in oven.
|
|
|
Broil for 10 minutes per inch of thickness, turning halfway through cooking time. Baste top of fillets again before re-inserting in oven, if desired.
