Read all directions as there is 2 oven temps. Preheat ove to 400.

Sift together both flours salt baking soda and 2 teaspoons of sugar. Cut in butter till almost disapears. Add in oil and buttermilk. Stir till completley moistened. Move dough to a lightly flourd surface. Lightly knead dough no more than 1 min. Place shaped dough (they suggest a round circle shape)on greased or parchment lined baking sheet. Pat dow to a uniform thickness.Cut a cross into the top and brush with 1 T buttermilk and sprinkle with 1 tsp sugar.

Made this the first time 2009.
Bake in preheated oven for 30 min. Reduce heat to 375 rotate pan and bake another 30 min. Coll on a wire rack before slicing.

Made this the first time 2009. 4 stars for the flavour. It is a heavy loaf and quite rich.
