Melt Butter in medium saucepan over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in oats, sugar, flour, corn syrup, vanilla, and salt. Drop by teaspoonfuls about 3” apart onto a foil lined cookie sheet. Spread thin with a rubber spatula and bake in a heated oven at 375 F. for 5-7 minutes. Cool completely on wire racks. Peel foil from cookies. Melt chocolate chips and stir until smooth. Spread chocolate on the flat sides of 1/2 the cookies and top with remaining cookies sandwich style.
