Peel potatoes, slice and boil 4 minutes in saucepan. Drain and set aside. Melt butter in saucepan; add onion and cook. Add cheese and let melt. Add soup, sour cream, chives, salt & pepper. Heat thoroughly. Layer potatoes and sauce in crockpot. Cook 2 hours on high or 4 hours on low until tender. Stir occasionally.
Note: Spray corckpot with Pam before cooking.
