Soak washed moong dal for 10 minutes, if we soak
for longer time dal skin will come out.
Wash and chop tomato, slit green chilies, minced
ginger and garlic, chop coriander leaves and keep
aside.

Pressure cook dal for 3 whistles with tomatoes,
chilies, ginger, turmeric powder and little water
just covering dal.
|
|
|
Once pressure released mash dal slightly.
Add mashed dal, salt and 1-2 cups of water (depends
on the consistency you like your dal to be).

|
Bring it to a good boil and simmer for 2 minutes.
Garnish with cilantro and off flame

Serve with steam rice and any side dish (veg) of your choice.
