1 cup (4 ounces) shredded sharp American cheese, divided
1 large egg, lightly beaten
1/2 cup milk
1 tablespoon sesame seeds, toasted
Instructions
Melt 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet over medium -
high heat; add onion and cook, stirring constantly,
3 minutes or til tender.
Combine onion, biscuit mix and 1/2 cup cheese in a
large bowl. Combine egg and milk; add to onion
mixture, stirring just til moistened. Spoon into
greased muffin pans, filling half full. Sprinkle
with remaining 1/2 cup cheese and sesame seeds;
dot with remaining tablespoon of butter.
Bake at 400 degrees for 13 minutes or til golden.
Remove muffins from pans immediately and serve warm.
Personal Note- I never use the sesame seeds.
