Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cook noodles according to package directions and drain. Set aside. Meanwhile, in a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef & drain. Stir in tomato sauce, garlic powder, salt & pepper. Simmer 5 minutes. Add cottage cheese, sour cream butter & mix gently. In a greased 2 quart casserole dish alternate layers of noodles then meat mixture. Doesn't matter which ends up on top. Top this with the shredded cheese. Bake uncovered for 20 minutes or until cheese is melted and golden brown.
