1 Tablespoon pickling spice (tie up in a cut piece of nylon stocking)
Sea salt
4 small cucumbers, sliced in 1/8 inch slices
1/2 small white onion, thinly sliced
1/4 cup warm water or cream
Instructions
Cider vinegar tenderizes the cucumbers as they marinate, leaving snappy sweet-and-sour wedges.
Combine the vinegar, sugar, pickling spice, 1/4 cup warm water or cream, and a pinch of salt in a medium bowl. Add the cucumbers and onion and stir to combine.
Refrigerate until the vegetables are infused with the flavor of the marinade, at least 3 hours or up to 2 days.

Suggestions
Serve chilled or at room temperature.
