The kourabiedes are traditional sweets. Cream
butter and icing sugar in a mixing bowl, until
light and fluffy. Change hook use the one for
the dough now. Add, the ground almonds, lemon
zest, vanilla essence, orange blossom water, crushed
walnuts and ground cloves. Blend in flour
gradually together with salt. Mix thoroughly
until it forms a soft dough. Shape into
teaspoons balls. Indent each ball in the middle
with thumb and form a crescent shape. Place on
ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 180c for 15-20
minutes. Cover the bottom of a plate or small
bowl with icing sugar. Place crescents on top,
roll them in icing sugar and sprinkle with more
icing sugar. Turn them over so that they are
fully covered. Shake the excess icing sugar and
arrange on platter. Enjoy, don't miss this
