Mix the sugar, flour and cocoa. Melt the butter in iron skillet. Fold in sugar mixture. Mix lightly. Combine beaten egg yolk in milk. Add to skillet mixture stirring constantly. Cook slowly until thick. Add vanilla. Blend well. Put into pie shell.
Make meringue of egg whites, sugar and 1/4 tsp vanilla. Pour over pie.
Brown meringue in oven.
