in 2 quart sauce pan, melt butter, add sugar,
syrup and salt, stir constentsly so suger gets
melted. bring to hard boil for about 5 min,
add milk and boil and stir until it reaches
soft ball stage or 245 degree, take off heat
add vanille stir well, let cool 3 min. then
dip. set on grease pan or wax paper. you can
dip in candies at this point too.
