4 cups apples (about 4 med.apples)

Pare, core and slice
|
|
Place in well greased piepan
|
|
Combine 1/4 c.sugar, 1/4 tsp.cinnamon & pour
|
|
over apples.
|
|
Cover tightly w/aluminum foilB
|
|
Bake in 400 deg.overn -20 min.
|
|
Meanwhile- Cream 1 TBSP. butter with 1/2 c.sugar
|
|
Add 1 tsp.vanilla & 1 slightly beaten egg.
|
|
|
|
Beat well.
|
|
Sift together 2/3 c.flour & 1/2 tsp. baking powder
|
|
Blend into creamed mix. Spread evenly over
|
|
apples. Bake 400 deg. 20 to 25 min. until browned.-
|
|
Serve either hot or cold, topped w/whipped cream
|
|
or vanilla ice cream
