Blend salt, flour together and cut in the shortening.
Mix in eggs, yeast, water, cream cheese and dry milk. Let stand in refrigerator overnight or 2 hours.
Divide dough into 2 parts. Roll out and sprinkle 1 c sugar...1/4 on the board and 1/4 on top (?). Fold into thirds. Cut into 1 inch strips.
Let rise. Bake in moderate oven.
