Mix the cake mix, butter, 1/3 c evaporated milk and cup of nuts. Put half in the bottom of a 9 x 13 pan. Bake at 350° for six minutes. Cool for a few minutes.
Melt one package of caramels over low heat. Keep Stirring. Add 1/3 c evaporated milk when caramels are melted. Spread over cake mix.
Spread one small package of chocolate chips next. Put last half of cake mix over it all.
Bake 15-18 minutes at 350°. Cool and cut into squares.
