Preheat oven to 175C. Lightly grease 13 x 9 inch
glass baking dish. Cream together butter and sugar
until light and fluffy. Add eggs and beat. Sift in
dry ingredients, sour cream and vanilla. Fold in
the apples. Pour into dish spreading out to edges.
CRUMBLE- Combine ingredients and mix until it
resembles course crumbs. Sprinkle the topping over
the cake and bake until golden brown and set, 35
to 40 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool
on a wire rack for at least 10 minutes.
Can drizzle with vanilla icing (I did) or BROWN
SUGAR GLAZE - 1/2 C packed light brown sugar, 1/2
tsp vanilla, 2 T water - combine in a bowl and mix
until smooth. Drizzle and let harden slightly,
serve warm.
