Brown meat and chopped onion together in a frying
pan. While meat is cooking, mix tomato sauce,
tomato paste, garlic, italian seasoning, salt,
basil, and oregano in large pot. Heat on medium
heat.
Drain meat and onion and add to the tomato sauce.
In frying pan, melt butter and saute bell pepper
and mushrooms until done to liking. Add peppers
and onions to the sauce and simmer low/medium for
30 minutes.
Serve over noodles. Sauce keeps well frozen in
ziploc bags.
Sometimes I remove 1/3 of the sauce before adding
the peppers and mushrooms. This simple sauce can
be turned into stuffed bell peppers or something
for a different meal.
