Melt butter separately and allow to cool a bit. Mix all ingredients and
all butter last. Butter may separate, while you are cooking waffle
batches, but don't worry just keep mixing in between. I usually double
the batch when making it for the 7 of us. Place in a heated waffle iron, until golden brown.I don't
usually add more
butter to my waffles before eating, as I feel the batter is rich and has
a sufficient amount of fat already. Add syrup, whipped cream or fruit
jam if you desire.
