Preheat oven to 450. Cut the chicken breast in
half, lengthwise, but not all the way
through.Open the breast. Salt and pepper the
insides. Add a pinch of lemon zest to the
insides.Lay 2 slices of provolone on the
insides. Put 4 stalks of asparagus over the
cheese.

Close the chicken breasts and hold together with
toothpicks. Season the outsides, both sides, with
salt, pepper, garlic powder and paprika.

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add
olive oil, swirling around to coat bottom of
skillet. Cook the chicken top side down for 3-5
minutes or until chicken easily releases from
the pan and is golden brown. Flip the chicken
over and cook for another 3-5 minutes.

Move chicken to a baking dish. Carefully cover
with foil. Bake in oven for another 15 minutes or
until chicken reaches 155 degrees.Carefully remove
from oven and let sit covered for about 5 minutes
or until chicken is 160 degrees.
