In a large, 5-6 quart skillet or stock pot,
saute the chicken until it is cooked most of
the way through and remove from the pan, place
on a plate, and cover. Wipe the pan out then
heat butter over medium heat. Add garlic and
cook for about a minute. Add chicken broth,
milk, 2 Tbsp. butter, pasta noodles, salt and
pepper, and basil. Bring to a boil, stirring
occasionally. Once boiling, reduce heat to a
simmer stirring occasionally for 16-20 minutes
or until noodles have cooked through. Return
chicken to skillet after a few minutes into the
noodles simmering. If you are wanting to add
broccoli, add it after about 10 minutes into
the simmering process. Stir in Parmesan when
noodles are finished cooking and add a little
milk if necessary if necessary to reach your
desired consistency.
