1) Slice an entire carrot and layer across the
bottom of the crockpot
2) Add a layer of mushrooms on top of the
carrots
3) Add a layer of bean sprouts on top of the
mushrooms
4) Fill the rest of the crockpot with cabbage
5) Add six cups of liquid ( I usually do 5 cups
of water, 1 cup of sake or cooking wine)
6) Sprinkly 2 tbsps of Dashi on top
7) Set the crockpot on low for a minimum of 4
hours (you can leave going all day if you want)
8) At the end of the four hours break apart the
pork belly and drop into the stew (it should
easily pull apart in your hands)
9) Add in kamaboko
10) Cook for an additional 10-15 minutes on high
or until the pork belly is fully cooked
11) Serve with rice
Note- The amount of pork belly and kamaboko is
completely to taste
