Peel asparagus stems, cut tips 2-1/2 in. Thinly slice 2-1/2 in. of stalks discard remainder.
Blanche asparagus (about 3mns. Run under cold water and drain.

Blend cream cheese with egg yolk. Mix in cream. Texture will be slightly lumpy - beat in eggs one at a time, add pepper.

Spread asparagus stalks and ham evenly on bottom of pie crust. Pour in 1/2 custard mixture. Bake on low shelf for 15mns. Remove from oven. Pour in the remainder of custard. Arrange tips around top like spokes on a wheel. Sprinkle with Parmesan

Reduce oven to 375 Bake 40 mns
Allow to rest for 15 mns bf serving.
