In a large saute pan over low heat, fry the bacon
until crisp, approximately 15 minutes. Using a
slotted spoon, transfer bacon to a plate lined
with paper towels. Set aside.
Discard all but 2 Tbsp fat, return skillet to
medium heat and saute onion until translucent.
Add Brussels sprouts and brown slightly. Add
broth, brown sugar, salt and pepper; bring to a
boil; cover, lower heat and simmer gently,
stirring occasionally, until Brussels sprouts
are very tender and liquid has been mostly
absorbed, approximately 20 minutes. Adjust
seasonings and sprinkle with bacon, serve.
