Spread the asparagus evenly in a single layer on a large sheet pan. In
a small bowl, whisk together oil and garlic until combined Pour this
mixture over the veggies. Using your hands, toss the asparagus just
until completely coated. Spread back in an even, single layer.
Liberally salt and pepper the asparagus, more pepper than salt. Bake
at 425 deg. for 15 minutes, or until asparagus is tender but not
wilted.
Take pan from the oven, sprinkle the cheeses evenly over the
asparagus. Return to the oven for an extra 2 minutes, or until the
cheese is melted. Then, turn broiler on and broil just until the cheese
bubbles and begins to turn golden brown. Serve.
NOTE- I think you can reduce the bake time to 13 minutes. Asparagus
was a little wilted.
