Blanch beans in a large pot of salted water just until tender. 4-5 minutes. transfer to a bowl of ice water, drain.
Saute onions in oil in a large saute pan over medium heat until onions are golden, about 5 minutes. add beans to the onions and saute until warmed through, 4-5 minutes. season with salt and pepper.
