|
pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees. butter a 9 inch pan
|

|
beat egg yolks with half of the sugar. in a separate bowl beat the egg whites with the rest of the sugar until peaks form.

|
|
melt the butter with the chocolate and fold into the yolk mixture. Add the vanilla extract. Gradually fold in the whites.
|
|
|
bake cake until a stick inserted in the middle comes out mostly clean (about 45 minutes)
