Scrub potatoes well. Cut each potato in half lengthwise then slice into 1/3 inch slices.
pour a little bit of olive oil with the garlic into a large bowl. Turn the potato slices in the oil so that all sides are covered, then place on a large baking sheet. Sprinkle to taste with salt, pepper and rosemary.
Bake at 400 to 425 degrees until lightly browned on both sides - about 15 to 20 minutes.
