In larger mixer bowl, combine 2 cups of the flour and the yeast. Add water, oil, sugar and salt to dry mixture. Beat at low speed of electric mixer for 1/2 minutes scraping sides of bowl. Beat 3 minutes at high speed. By hand stir in enough of the remaining flour to make a moderately stiff dough.

Turn out onto lightly floured surface; knead till smooth and elastic, 8-10 minutes. Shape into a ball.

Place dough in greyased bowl, turning over to grease surface; cover; let rise till double, about 1-1/2 hours. Punch dough down. Divide in half. Divide each 1/2 into thirds. Shape into balls. Cover, let rest 10 minutes.

Roll each ball into 16" rope. Line up 3 ropes, 1" apart on greased baking sheet. Braid very loosely, beginning in the middle. Punch ends together and tuck under. Repeat with remaining ropes. Cover 40 minutes. Make in 375 degree oven for 30 minuites or until bread is done.
