Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 10" bundt pan and lightly flour the inside.

Cream together the butter and 2 cups of the sugar. Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt. Fold the dry ingredients into the creamed mixture, and beat until just blended. Do not over beat.

In a separate bowl, mix remaining 3/4 cup sugar with the cinnamon. Pour half of the batter into the budnt pan. Sprinkle the sugar/cinnamon mixture on top. Add remaining batter.

|
Set on the middle rack of the oven and bake for about 60 minutes, or until toothpick comes out clean from center of cake.
