Sift dry ingredients. Cut in shortening. Add egg and milk to form dough. Turn dough out onto lightly floured surface and knead 10-12 times. Roll out and cut into biscuts. Bake at 475 for 12-15 minutes or until light brown.
Biscuits can be frozen.
