Saute onion and bacon in 2Tbl.olive oil until onion is translucent.(At this point, remove onion and bacon and put in food processor and finely chop the two together.) return to pan.
Stir in basil, tomatoes and cream. Heat until warm. Do Not Boil! Salt and pepper to taste.
