Preheat oven to 350 degrees. For meat sauce- in a large skillet,
cook ground beef and onion until meat is brown and onion is tender.
Drain off fat. Stir in tomato sauce, wine, and cinnamon. Bring to
boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring
occasionally. Discard cinnamon.
Meanwhile, cook pasta according to package directions; drain. Rinse
and drain again. In a large bowl, combine 2 eggs, 3/4 cup of milk,
and 2 TBS. melted butter. Add pasta; toss to coat.
For cream sauce- in a small saucepan, melt 2 TBS. butter over medium
heat. Stir in flour, salt and pepper. Slowly add 1-1/2 cups milk.
Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly. Gradually stir hot mixture
into 2 eggs; set aside.
Grease a 3-qt. rectangular baking dish. Spread HALF of the pasta
mixture in prepared dish. Top with meat sauce; sprinkle with ONE-
THIRD of the cheese. Top with the remaining pasta mixture;
sprinkle with another ONE-THIRD of the cheese. Pour cream sauce
over all; sprinkle with remaining cheese. Cover and bake for 20
minutes. Bake, uncovered, for 10-15 minutes more or until a knife
inserted in center comes out clean. Let stand for 15 minutes
before serving.
