Heat oven to 350 degrees. Generously grease 12 cup fluted cake pan with shortening. In small bowl, mix 3/4 cup brown sugar and the cinnamon. Coat pan with cinnamon sugar mixture, shake out excess and reserve excess.

In medium bowl, stir remaining ingredients except pecans until blended, beat vigorously with spoon 30 seconds. Spoon half of batter into pan.

Stir pecans into reserved cinnamon sugar mixture; sprinkle half of pecan mixture over batter in pan. Spread remaining batter over pecan mixture. Sprinkle with remaining pecan mixture.

|
Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Remove from pan to serving plate. Serve warm.
