Place chicken breasts in large roasting pan, fill in spaces around it with
onions, potatoes and carrots. Cover the chicken breasts with the liquid
until 3/4 covered (add more/less broth if necessary). Place about 1/2 tbsp
of butter on each chicken breast. Bake at 500 degrees for 1 hour in the
upper third of the oven. Turn and baste half way through.
