Instructions
Brown ground beef and veal in small batches. Remove and drain grease. Add olive oil and butter, add chopped onions and crushed garlic.
Simmer med heat until onions are tender
add beef, can of tomato sauce and 1 can of water, add tomato paste, add 1/2 cup of red wine, or white and stir to blend all ingredients.

Bring to a boil and then simmer on low heat for approx 1 to 2 hours.
This is Nonna's Basic Sauce, you can add chopped mushrooms, celery. Use different types of meat.
Ground chicken, Ground Veal or combination
If sauce is not thicking leave lid off slightly or add handful of breadcrumbs. If sauce is too thick and water.
