In a skillet,saute squash in butter until tender; drain. In a large bowl, beat egg yolks until thick and lemon-colored; stir in sour cream and flour. Beat egg whites until stiff; fold into yolk mixture.
Layer half of squash, egg mixture and cheese into greased 11-in. x 7-in. x 2-in. baking dish (or round 2-1/2 qt. casserole dish.
Sprinkle bacon over top. Layer squash, egg mixture and cheese. Combine crumbs and butter, sprinkle over top.
Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes or until heated through.
