Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour 10 inch Bundt pan.
In a large bowl, mix 2C flour, 1 3/4C sugar, cocoa, salt and soda. Add 2t vanilla, water, shortening, sour cream, egg yolks and 3 egg whites. Blend at low speed until moistened, then beat at medium speed for 3 minutes.
Pour cake batter into 10 inch Bundt pan. Drop filling by teaspoons around the top ot hte batter, avoiding edges
Bake @ 350 degrees for 55 to 60 minutes, or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto wire rack to contine cooling. Top with Chocolate Glaze.
