1 loaf of french or italian bread, sliced 1/4 in. thick

6 oz. spreadable cheese of choice (blue cheese is best)

8 strips bacon, cooked, diced
|

1/2 tsp. pepper
|

3 tblspn. butter, softened
|
|
|

Instructions |
|
|
Set oven to broiler setting.
Place bread slices on baking sheet and place in oven until bread is slightly toasted.
|

|
Top each slice of bread with some bacon and pepper.
|
|
|
Combine cheese and butter until well mixed and spread over bread slices.
|
|
|
Heat in oven until cheese bubbles
|
