Arrange apples ina single layer on bottom of a large heavy skillet. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over apples. Cook until just tender, do not over cook. Remove apples and boil syrp until thickens and pour over apples. May be served with whipped cream for dessert or as a side dish with macaroni and cheese. ? not sure where that came from...
