combine the berries, sugar, lemon juice, cornstarch and salt in a
non aluminum sauce pan. bring to boil and reduce heat,
simmering until mixture thickens and a sauce forms, about ten
minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking. Add the peaches
and cook for one minute then remove from heat, and gently fold
in the other berries and set aside.

preheat oven to 375 degrees. combine flour, sugar, baking
powder, salt and mix well. add the butter and combine until its
pea sized chunks. add one cup of cream and combine with a
fork until moist. immediately turn out onto a lightly floured
board and knead about ten times. Roll out to 3/4 thickness and
cut into 6 pieces and place on an ungreased cookie sheet. mix
the egg yolk with the 2 T of cream and 1/2 t of vanilla and brush
the top of the biscuits. sprinkle with the sugar. bake for 15 -25
min
