1 pound can chick peas, drained
|
|
1 large onion, chopped
|
|
2T finely chopped parsley
|
|
1 egg
|
|
1 tsp.salt
|
|
1 tsp. garlic powder or 2 cloves
|

1 tsp. cumin
|
|
1/2-3/4 cup bread crumps or slices bread, wet; squeezed
|

Instructions |
|
|
To a food processor add all ingredients except bread.
Process then add crumbs. Process again.
|
|
|
Form into balls the size of a quarter. Flatten slightly before frying.
|
|
|
Fry in hot deep oil untill golden. Drain on paper towels. Serve
inside pita with chopped tomato, cucumber, lettuce, onions and
carrot.
