6 large cucumbers, sliced

3 large onions, sliced
|

1/4 cup salt
|

3 cup vinegar
|
|
3 cup sugar
|
|
1 cup water
|
|
1 1/2 tsp dry mustard
|

2 tsp tumeric
|
|
1 T cornstarch
|

Instructions |

|
Sprinkle salt over cucumbers and onions and let stand overnight.
Drain. Rinse.
|
|
|
In large pot add vinegar, sugar and water. Boil. Add cucumbers and
onions and cook 10 minutes.
|
|
|
Dissolve mustard, tumeric and cornstarch with cold vinegar to
made a smooth paste and add to mixture. Cook until thick and
smooth.
|
|
|
Ladle into clean sterilized jars. Wait one month before serving.
