6 small fresh tomatoes or 2 small cans of tomatoes
2 t salt
1 t garlic powder or 1 clove garlic, chopped
pepper to taste
1 T brown sugar
1/4 c vinegar
1/4 c raisins, chopped (optional)
1/4 c olives, chopped
1 T capers
1/2 c red wine or bouillon
worcestershire sauce, to taste
Instructions
Brown onion and green pepper in olive oil. Add chopped tomatoes, salt, garlic, pepper and meat, stirring constantly to break into small bits. Add remaining ingredients. Cover and cook slowly until meat is tender about 1 hour. Serve over rice, mashed potatoes, or split buttered and toasted hamburger buns.
