Cook sausage and drain. Cut onto 1/4 inch slices. Bring water to a boil in a 2 quart saucepan. Add potato and next 5 ingredients.
Cover and simmer 15 minutes or until vegetables are tender. In a separate 4 quart saucepan, melt butter.
Stir in flour and cook and stir until smooth. Remove from heat and slowly stir in milk and broth. Return to heat and bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
Boil and stir 1 minute. Add cheese and stir until melted. Add undrained vegetables, dill, and sausage. Heat thoroughly before serving.
