1 1/3 c. Bisquick
|

3/4 c. sugar
|

3 T. shortening
|
|
1 egg
|
|
2/3 c. milk, divided

1 t. vanilla

Topping-
|
|
3 T. shortening
|
|
|
|
1/3 c. brown sugar
|
|
2 T. milk
|
|
1/2 c. coconut (or wheaties)

|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|

|

Instructions |

|
Grease 8x8 inch dish.
Mix together bisquick and sugar. Add 3 T shortening, egg and 1/3 c. milk.
Beat together.

|
Add 1/3 c. more milk and beat.
Pour into pan.
|
|
|
Bake at 350. Check after 25 min. Cake is done when toothpick comes out clean.

|
TOPPING-
Combine shortening, brown sugar, 2 T. milk and coconut.
Spread over cake and broil until topping bubbles. WATCH CAREFULLY!
