In large pot, boil pasta until just al dente, do not overcook. In skillet, cook bacon until done, cut into small pieces. Add ham, celery, carrots and onion to skillet and cook until tender. Drain pasta.
Put broth in pot and bring to a boil. Add all ingredients except beans and pasta. Simmer for about 15 minutes. Add pasta and beans, cover and simmer for about 10 mintues. Note- if there is not enough broth to cover all ingredients in this step, you can add more broth or water.
