In large bowl, pour Rice Krispies, peanut butter, and butter or margarine. ( Do not mix anything at this point.) Combine sugar and white syrup in medium saucepan, heat on med, stirring occasionally until mixture comes to a boil. Remove from heat and add to Rice Krispies mixture. Mix together with spoon and spread into a greased 9x13” pan. Cool to room temperature. Melt chocolate chips in microwave. Spread over cooled bars. When chocolate has hardened, cut into squares. Refrigerate.
