4 pounds beef short ribs, cut into serving size pieces
Salt
Pepper
2/3 cup catsup
1/4 cup light molasses
1/4 cup lemon juice
1 tablespoon dry mustard
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
Dash garlic powder
Instructions
Trim any excess fat from ribs; sprinkle meat with salt and pepper.
Place the ribs in a Dutch Oven; add enough water to cover.
Simmer, covered, about 2 hours or till the meat is tender. Add additional water during cooking if necessary.
Drain ribs; place on an unheated rack in a broiler pan. For sauce combine catsup, light molasses, lemon juice, dry mustard, chili powder, and garlic powder; brush some of the sauce over the ribs.
Broil 4 to 5 inches from heat for 10 to 15 minutes, basting the ribs with sauce and turning frequently.
