Into a large bowl measure oats; add dry instant pudding mix.
Stir to mix thoroughly.

In large saucepan add sugar, evaporated milk and butter. Bring to a boil; continue to boil 1 minute stirring constantly.
Remove from heat; immediately add peanut butter and vanilla.

|
Pour over dry mixture, stirring until mixed thoroughly.
Drop by rounded teaspoons onto waxed paper lined cookie sheet.
Place a pecan half on top of each cookie.

|
When completely cool, lift each and place in covered container.
