Heat oven to 350F. Beat butter and both sugars with electric mixer on medium high speed, until light and fluffy. Reduce speed to low and mix in flour salt and baking soda. Gently stir in potato chips and chocolate chips.
Drop cookie dough by spoonfuls, about two inches apart, onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake for 10 minutes. Let cool on baking sheets for two minutes. Makes about 60 cookies.
